Everything Josh Giles...
I'm Back!
It's been awhile since I have posted anything on my site. I switched my hosting companies and had to updated all my pages to accommodate the new server settings...I am such a bad programmer! But it’s back up and I am going to try to post more so keep checking in.
Also, let me know if you get any error messages. I am still trying to work out all the bugs...such a bad programmer!
I would like to thank everyone for coming out to the wedding, it’s always nice to see old friends and smiling family. Blair and I had a great time and if anything I wish we could have had an extra hour or two to spend with everyone. I would also like to give a special thanks for those involved in the wedding truly special:
My Cousin Russ, not only did you make the ceremony touching and meaningful, but you also helped Blair and I out so much in the weeks before the wedding. Thank you for everything.
Mike, AWESOME! It is something I will never forget.
Wes, thanks for doing an awesome job DJing the wedding. I am truly sorry you had to miss the ceremony, but you did what you had to do and we appreciate it.
Gilmore, thanks for being there and keeping my head on straight, I probably would have lost it.
Brown thanks for the toast you gave…you bald bastard! Only kidding, it was great and from the heart!
I didn’t include a lot of family members because you already know how important and special you have been to us. This post got me kind of emotional…my bad.
I could go on thanking every one of our friends and family because you all mean so much. Thanks again and I hope everyone enjoyed themselves.
Wes McCart, a good friend and short-time roommate, as volunteered to DJ the wedding...thanks again Wes! So now I have the task of selecting music for the Big Day. I have a good idea of what I want played, but could always use more suggestion. Since I feel most my friends have good taste in music, that they might suggest a golden goodie that I forgot about. So please post any recommendation for songs you might have on the comments page. It can be slow, fast, old, new, love songs, dance songs, anything goes.
I look forward to see your responses. Thanks for you help!
Today Mr. Greg Gilmore becomes a man...well maybe not, but at least he is getting married!! He and Miss Abbe Kohl after 4 years of dating are tying the knot.
Gilmore is a great friend and I wish them both the best. Congratulation buddy!!
So Mr. Damon Orobona made it official this pass week and graduated from law school. His 3 year journey has come to an end. A lot of long nights and huge sacrifices have paid off. So when you get a chance leave the soon-to-be high roller a comment and wish him luck…he has the Bar coming up in July.
Graduation Day
Congratulations to you and Olivia on your achievement. We all look forward to seeing you again!
I know it’s been a while since I gave a wedding update, considering the last update was about the engagement. Blair and I have set a date for the wedding: September 2nd, 2006! That is Labor Day weekend, so heads up! If you are jerk, or think I am a jerk and don’t want to come, you could always use this excuse:
"Damn Josh, I would love to come to your wedding, but I have already made plans to spend Labor Day weekend at Lake Lanier Islands with the family. We already packed the cooler full of Pimento Cheese sandwiches and Yoo-hoo’s, there is no turning back now…Dang! Well maybe next time."
...trust me I won’t be offended.
Here is the wedding line-up.
Bridesmaids:
Alana "The Foot" Kootacuseialaokas
Lindsey "8 Egg Omelet" Gressard
Joni "Two-Font"...sorry joni I don’t know you last name
Where’s Anne Stanton?
And JJ Jessie "Stone" Sloan
Groom’s men:
The Giles Clan (Tommy, Brad, and Jeff)
JD "The Bruise" Wagoner
The Gilmore
The wedding will be at a church somewhere and the reception is going to be a Hamilton Mill CC...but that’s all I got for now.
Guess who has a birthday today, besides Cy Young and Elle Macpherson??!?!?! That’s right Josh Brown!!!!! So give him a call if you get a chance otherwise just leave him a birthday comment.
Have you noticed lately the slow decline of quality fortunes in fortune cookies?
This one I received the other day:
...That’s not a fortune!!! That’s a damn statement. They might as well say: "You would not like a spike in your head. ☺"
After I gorge myself on fried chicken fat and dry-rice, I want a fortune. Anything that starts out with "You will..." or "Look out for..." will do. Come on China you’re losing me here, Thai is gaining a lot of ground.
So I went out to check the mail the other day and saw a flyer hanging off the mail box for a landscaping company. I was so taken by the flyer, I had to share it with everyone:
...nice!!!
Creative Landscaping is apparently owned by these guys: *must check out their myspace page!!
